7.2 Automation – Driver Rules, Penalties, Bonuses & Rewards

Beyond marketing automation, Yelowsoft introduces advanced Operational Automations that govern driver behavior, penalties, bonuses, and loyalty rewards. This eliminates the need for manual monitoring while ensuring fair and consistent enforcement across the fleet.

To access this automation:

Step 1: Go to the Admin Panel

Step 2: Click on Settings

Step 3: Select Automation from the left-side menu

Step 4: Choose Operational Rules Automation

Key Features of Operational Automation

Automation in this section covers:

  • Penalties for Unwanted Driver Behavior
  • Bonus Programs for Wallet Top-ups
  • Driver Reward Points & Badging System

1️⃣ Driver Penalty Rules (Auto Enforcement)

This feature helps dispatch companies control and reduce poor driver behavior by automatically enforcing penalties.

Cancel/Reject Trip Monitoring:

Admin sets the limit for how many trips a driver is allowed to cancel or reject (e.g., max 5 rejections/day).

If a driver exceeds the set threshold, the system takes automated actions such as:

  • ❌ Temporary Blocking (e.g., 1-hour account lock)
  • 💸 Monetary Penalty (e.g., $20 auto-deducted from the wallet)
  • 🔁 Both blocking and penalty can be applied together

How It Works:

  • Admin defines rules and thresholds
  • System continuously monitors driver actions
  • Once a violation occurs, the consequence is executed automatically—no manual involvement

Example: If a driver rejects 5 trips, their account is blocked for 60 minutes and $20 is deducted automatically.

2️⃣ Bonus Automation for Top-ups

To encourage wallet-based (cashless) bookings, Yelowsoft allows admins to create automated bonus campaigns for top-ups.

Top-up Bonus Rules:

  • Admin defines minimum top-up amount (e.g., $200)
  • Bonus amount is credited automatically (e.g., +$50)
  • Admin can set:
    • Start and end date of the bonus campaign
    • Limit on how many times this bonus can be availed

Target Audience:

  • Both customers and drivers
  • Encourages use of the wallet system over cash transactions

Example: Customer tops up $200 → system adds $50 extra → wallet balance becomes $250

3️⃣ Driver Reward Points & Badge System

Motivate your drivers with a point-based loyalty system, fully managed via automation.

Points and Badges:

Drivers earn points for:

  • Completing a specific number of trips
  • Maintaining high performance consistently

Points lead to badges, which can represent:

  • Bronze / Silver / Gold status
  • Priority trip assignment eligibility
  • Additional incentives

How It Works:

  • Admin sets thresholds (e.g., 50 trips = Gold badge)
  • System awards badges and points automatically
  • Drivers can track their badge status and work toward higher tiers

Example: After completing 100 trips in a month, the driver is awarded a “Gold Performer” badge and gets a $100 bonus.

🔄 Fully Automated Operations

Once set up:

  • The system constantly monitors and enforces rules
  • No manual action from admins is needed
  • Customers and drivers receive updates instantly and automatically
