9.1.1 Driver Management – User Manual

📌 Overview​

The Driver Management module is an essential part of modern dispatch and ride-hailing systems. With Yelowsoft’s platform, companies can efficiently manage driver profiles, registrations, bank details, automated payouts, and driver documents—all from a centralized system.

1️⃣ Driver Profile & Registration​

Yelowsoft offers two methods to onboard drivers:

A. Driver Self-Registration (Via Driver App)​

Drivers can register themselves directly using the Driver Mobile Application.

During the registration process, they are required to fill in:

  • Personal Information (name, contact, address, etc.)
  • Vehicle Details (vehicle number, type, model, etc.)
  • Additional Required Fields (license info, ID proof, etc.)

🟡 Once registered, the driver’s profile remains in a "Pending" status until verified by the admin.

B. Admin-Assisted Registration (Via Admin Panel)​

Admins can manually create and register drivers from the Admin Panel:

  1. Navigate to the Drivers section on the left-side menu.
  2. Click on Manage Drivers and then Create Driver.
  3. Enter the same mandatory information required in the mobile app.

✅ This gives flexibility for fleet companies to onboard drivers directly or assist them during walk-ins or internal hiring.

🧾 Driver Account Verification & Status Management​

After registration, drivers can be categorized as:

  • Pending Drivers: Awaiting approval from admin.
  • Active Drivers: Successfully verified and allowed to go online.
  • Inactive Drivers: Temporarily disabled or manually turned off.
  • Rejected Drivers: Profiles that do not meet onboarding requirements.

Admins can verify, activate, reject, or deactivate drivers based on background checks, documentation, or other internal procedures.

🚗 Vehicle Allocation & Plan Management​

Once a driver is approved:

  • Admin can assign vehicle types the driver is allowed to operate.
  • Subscription plans (if any) can be assigned from the driver profile.
  • Driver’s operational zone and permissions can also be managed.

📤 Exporting Driver Data​

For reporting or compliance purposes:

  • Admin can export all driver information from the admin panel.
  • Navigate to Manage Drivers > Export.
  • This generates a downloadable file with all necessary driver details.
