9.2.1 Driver Subscription Plans – User Manual for Taxi Companies

This document provides a comprehensive guide for taxi companies on how the Driver Subscription System works within the platform. It outlines the different types of subscription models available, their functionality, and how they can be configured for various business strategies.

Overview​

The system supports three types of subscription plans for drivers. These plans can be tailored based on operational needs, driver behavior, and vehicle types. Each plan defines how drivers contribute to the platform in terms of payment, either via commission or fixed charges.

1️⃣ Per-Trip Subscription Plan​

Description:
In the Per-Trip Plan, drivers are not required to pay upfront. Instead, they enroll for free and pay a commission per trip completed.

Key Features:

  • No upfront fee for drivers
  • Commission (fixed or percentage) is automatically deducted from the driver’s wallet after each trip
  • Admin can configure:
    • Commission amount or percentage
    • Whether the driver is allowed to switch plans later
    • Plan availability based on vehicle type

2️⃣ Unlimited Subscription Plan​

Description:
This plan is ideal for full-time or highly active drivers. Drivers pay a fixed fee upfront and enjoy unlimited rides for a defined period.

Key Features:

  • Unlimited ride access for a fixed number of days
  • Upfront payment required
  • Option for Auto-Renewal:
    • If enabled, the system will automatically renew the plan upon expiry by deducting the fee from the driver’s wallet
  • Admin can configure:
    • Duration of the plan
    • Plan fee
    • Auto-renewal toggle
    • Vehicle-type eligibility
    • Plan switch permission

3️⃣ Limited Subscription Plan​

Description:
In the Limited Plan, drivers purchase a fixed number of rides for a set duration.

Key Features:

  • Drivers pay in advance for a set number of rides (e.g., 10, 20, etc.) valid for a specific time
  • No extra charges if they stay within the ride limit
  • If the ride limit is exceeded, the system automatically shifts the driver to the Per-Trip Plan for the remaining rides
  • Admin can configure:
    • Ride limit
    • Plan duration and pricing
    • Vehicle-type eligibility
    • Plan switch permission

Admin Configuration Options​

The Admin Panel allows full control over how subscription plans are managed:

  • Enable/disable each subscription type
  • Assign plans to specific vehicle categories
  • Define pricing, duration, ride limits, and commission structure
  • Control whether drivers can switch between plans
  • Enable or disable auto-renewal where applicable
