9.2.3 Subscription Automation – User Manual

Overview

The Subscription Automation feature is designed to help admins manage driver commissions and subscriptions more efficiently. It allows the system to automatically apply different commission structures based on booking sources such as agents, operators, or corporate clients. This eliminates manual adjustments and ensures a fair and transparent subscription process for all drivers.

What is Subscription Automation?

Subscription Automation is a flexible system that automates commission and subscription plan allocation for drivers. Admins can:

  • Define a base subscription plan for all drivers.
  • Apply customized commission rules for specific scenarios (agent bookings, operator bookings, or corporate trips).
  • Automatically deduct applicable charges from the driver’s wallet based on the booking type.
  • If no special conditions apply, the driver will be charged according to their assigned base subscription.

Example Use Case

  • A driver has a base subscription plan with a 20% commission.
  • If a booking is generated by an agent, the system automatically applies a 15% commission instead.
  • If a booking comes from a corporate client, the commission is set at a fixed rate of $50.
  • The system deducts the correct charge from the driver’s wallet automatically, without requiring manual updates from the admin.

Key Benefits

  • Flexibility: Apply different commissions based on booking sources.
  • Automation: Reduces manual effort in adjusting driver subscriptions.
  • Transparency: Drivers clearly see which subscription or commission applies.
  • Efficiency: Ensures accurate, timely deductions from driver wallets.
  • Revenue Optimization: Allows companies to maximize earnings with tailored commission models.

How It Works

  1. Define Base Subscription: Admin sets up a default subscription plan for all drivers using Automation.
  2. Configure Rules: Admin creates custom commission rules for bookings from agents, operators, or corporate clients.
  3. Booking Generation: When a booking occurs, the system checks if it matches any automation rule.
    • If yes → applies the custom commission.
    • If no → applies the base subscription.
  4. Wallet Deduction: The respective charge is deducted from the driver’s wallet automatically.
  5. Reporting: Both admins and drivers can view applied commissions and deductions for clarity.

Final Note

The Subscription Automation feature streamlines commission management by intelligently applying subscription plans based on booking sources. This reduces admin workload and builds trust with drivers through clear and automated deductions. It’s a smart, scalable solution for companies handling diverse booking channels.
