  2. Select Custom Rate under the pricing section.

Pricing Models

1️⃣ Dynamic Pricing

Fare is calculated dynamically based on trip details.

Configurable Fields:

  • Base Fare: Fixed charge for every trip.
  • Base Kilometer: Distance included in base fare.
  • Charge Per Kilometer: Cost applied per km beyond base distance.
  • Ride Time Charge: Cost based on trip duration.
  • Minimum Fare: Ensures fare does not fall below a threshold.
  • Waiting Time Charge: Applied when drivers wait beyond a grace period.
  • Cancellation Charges: Fees for trip cancellations.
  • Extra Passenger Charge: Fee for passengers exceeding standard limits.
  • Extra Luggage Charge: Fee for additional luggage.

Fare Calculation Logic:

  • If total fare (base fare + per km + ride time) exceeds minimum fare → calculated fare applies.
  • If total fare < minimum fare → minimum fare is charged.

2️⃣ Fixed Pricing

Fare is constant, regardless of distance or duration.

Use Cases:

  • Airport transfers
  • Predefined point-to-point trips
  • Promotional fixed-rate rides

Key Points:

  • Fare remains the same, even if route/time varies.
  • Admins can still configure waiting time, cancellation, extra passenger, and luggage charges.
  • Best suited for predictable trips.

Vehicle-Specific Pricing

Admins can assign pricing structures to specific vehicle types, ensuring fare logic aligns with vehicle operational costs and service levels.

Benefits

  • Flexible Fare Models: Competitive, transparent pricing.
  • Automated Fare Calculation: Reduces manual errors.
  • Operational Efficiency: Full control over fare application.
  • Enhanced Customer Experience: Clear pricing reduces disputes and improves trust.

Conclusion

The Pricing Structure Configuration module empowers taxi companies to manage fares efficiently.
Dynamic pricing adapts to trip specifics, while fixed pricing offers simplicity for predictable routes.

This flexibility optimizes revenue, driver earnings, and ensures transparent fare structures for customers.
