Overview
Yelowsoft provides flexible and advanced pricing models to accommodate a wide range of business needs.
Meter Pricing is particularly suitable for distance-based fare calculation and is distinct from the Custom Rate model.
It supports two key calculation types: Range-Based Pricing and Per Kilometer-Based Pricing.
1️⃣ Range-Based Pricing
Range-Based Pricing allows admins to define fixed fare amounts based on distance ranges.
How It Works:
- Admin sets distance slabs (e.g., 1–10 km, 11–20 km).
- Each slab has a fixed fare regardless of exact distance traveled within that range.
Example:
- 1–10 km → $50 (fixed)
- 11–20 km → $70 (fixed)
Benefits:
- Drivers earn fairly even if trips end early due to cancellation or plan changes.
- Prevents fare disputes for short trips.
- Ideal for companies requiring upfront, predictable pricing for short trips.
2️⃣ Per Kilometer-Based Pricing
In Per Kilometer Pricing, fare is calculated dynamically based on distance traveled. Different per-kilometer rates can be applied based on distance brackets.
Example:
- 1–10 km → $5 per km
- 11–30 km → $4 per km
- 31+ km → $3 per km
So:
- 8 km trip → 8 × $5 = $40
- 25 km trip → 25 × applicable bracket rate
Benefits:
- Premium rates for short trips.
- Discounts for long-distance travel encourage longer trips.
- Highly flexible, suitable for dynamic routing operations.
