Multi-Driver Shift Management allows companies to assign multiple drivers to a single vehicle in shifts. This is ideal for:

  • Companies hiring part-time drivers without vehicles
  • Fleet operators maximizing usage of a single vehicle
  • Businesses ensuring round-the-clock operations with shared vehicles

Admins can assign multiple drivers to one vehicle and manage shifts efficiently, maintaining full control over who is active on the road.

Key Use Case​

Imagine a taxi company owns a fleet of vehicles and hires drivers who do not own cars. With Multi-Driver Shift Management, the company can:

  • Assign different drivers to the same vehicle
  • Ensure only one driver is active at a time
  • Manage shifts without needing additional vehicles

How It Works​

1️⃣ Assigning Multiple Drivers to One Vehicle​

  • Navigate to Vehicle Management in the Admin Panel
  • Click on a specific vehicle by selecting its number plate
  • You will be redirected to the Vehicle Details screen
  • Click Assign Driver
  • Add one or more drivers from the available list

2️⃣ Shifting and Activation​

  • Only one driver can go online at a time per vehicle
  • The system automatically restricts duplicate logins:
    • If Driver A is active, Driver B (assigned to the same vehicle) cannot go online until Driver A goes offline
  • No manual intervention is required; the system handles activation based on driver status

3️⃣ Driver Experience​

  • Drivers assigned to a vehicle can activate their shift via the driver app
  • If the vehicle is in use, the app displays a message preventing activation
  • Once the current driver ends their shift or goes offline, the next driver can start their shift on the same vehicle
