10.1 Vehicle Management – User Manual

Overview​

The Vehicle Management module in Yelowsoft is designed to simplify and centralize all vehicle-related operations. It allows the admin to create, manage, and assign vehicles to drivers seamlessly from the admin panel. Whether the vehicle is added by a driver during registration or by the admin manually, all records are available in one place.

1️⃣ What is Vehicle Management?​

This feature enables admins to:

  • View all registered vehicles.
  • Add or update vehicle details.
  • Assign/unassign vehicles to drivers.
  • Track current vehicle-driver assignments.
  • Manage vehicle brands and models.
  • Export vehicle lists for recordkeeping.

2️⃣ How Vehicles Are Added?​

A. Driver-Side:​

Drivers registering via the mobile app can enter their vehicle details such as:

  • Vehicle brand and model
  • Number plate
  • Color
  • Taxi number
  • Vehicle images

This information is synced automatically to the admin panel.

B. Admin-Side:​

Admins can manually add vehicles through the admin panel:
Admin Panel > Vehicles (Left Menu) > Vehicle Management

3️⃣ What Information Is Captured?​

Each vehicle entry includes:

  • Number plate
  • Color
  • Brand & model
  • Manufacturer
  • Taxi number (Govt. approved)
  • Current assigned driver
  • Vehicle status (active/inactive)
  • Vehicle image

4️⃣ Brand & Model Management​

Admins can define their own list of vehicle brands and models based on regional requirements:
Admin Panel > Vehicles > Brand & Model Master

This enables easier categorization and filtering when adding or editing vehicles.

5️⃣ Vehicle Search & Export​

  • Search Function: Admins can search vehicles by Number Plate or Taxi Number.
  • Export Function: Vehicle data can be exported for offline tracking, reporting, or compliance purposes.

6️⃣ Driver-Vehicle Assignment​

From the vehicle details page:

  • View which driver is assigned to which vehicle.
  • Unassign a driver or assign a different driver as needed.

This is useful when a driver is replaced or vehicles are rotated among drivers.
