6.1 Dispatcher Dispatch Management

This guide explains how to set up a dispatcher account and its various configurations. The dispatcher account is a useful tool for establishments like hotels and restaurants, allowing customers without the application to make bookings directly through the dispatcher application.

Setting Up the Dispatcher Account

Step 1: Navigate to the dispatcher account by clicking on the dispatch options under the manage menu.

Step 2: Click on the new button to set up the dispatcher account. Enter the basic information required for the account.

Step 3: After entering the information, the dispatcher will receive a set password and email on their registered email address.

Step 4: Click on the next button to create the dispatcher account. The admin can then set up the configurations for the dispatcher account, enabling features like token booking and manual dispatch.

Note: If the token booking feature is enabled, the manual dispatch feature will be disabled, and vice versa.

Understanding Token Booking

Token booking is a feature that, when enabled, generates a token for each trip request from the dispatcher panel.

The token doesn't deliver the trip request directly to the driver. Instead, the customer takes the token to a designated driver area and submits it to any available driver.

The driver then enters the token number to access all the trip details. This system eliminates waiting time charges for customers.

Configuring Dispatcher Account

Step 1: Enable the prepayment option to allow dispatchers to generate online trips. Customers won't have to pay at the time of completing the trip, settling the amount with the dispatcher later.

Step 2: Enable the customer data required config if the system needs to ask for customer details.

Step 3: Enable the editable pickup location configuration. If enabled, customers can enter pickup locations. Otherwise, the system will automatically pick the pickup location based on their current locations.

Step 4: Enable the ride later configuration. This gives dispatchers the option to schedule trips for future passengers. If the manual dispatch feature is enabled, dispatchers can assign the trip to available drivers in the system.

Step 5: Under manage all trips, dispatchers can view all their generated trips and their status.

Step 6: Set up a location group. The dispatch admin can divide locations into different groups, making it easier for customers to select a location and make a booking.

Step 7: Click on the create button to create the dispatcher account.

Viewing and Editing Dispatcher Account

Step 1: Click on the dispatcher's name to view all the details set up by the admin, including added locations.

Step 2: When a customer generates a trip from the dispatcher, they will see a list of locations added by the admin.

Step 3: The admin can set up individual pricing for each dispatcher account, separate from the normal pricing.

The dispatcher account can be accessed through the dispatcher panel and installed on an Android tablet.
