5.3 Surge Price

This guide explains how to set up a Surge price.

Start by navigating to the Surge price screen. Here, the admin should select the vehicle type and pricing screen from the menu on the left.

Step 1: Click on the Add New option under the Surge price section.

Step 2: Set up a Surge price. Define the boundaries of the Surge. This includes specifying the start and end times for when the Surge price will be active.

Step 3: Decide whether to select specific days or dates for the Surge price to be active.

Step 4: If desired, set up the Surge price for a specific location. This is particularly useful for events. Enter and select the desired location.

Step 5: Define the boundaries for the selected location. The Surge pricing will apply only to trips generated from this location.

Step 6: Decide whether to set up a fixed surge amount or a multiplier. Enter the desired value.

Step 7: Create a Surge price for a specific vehicle type, if desired. The Surge price will be activated only for trips generated with this vehicle type.

Step 8: Click on the Create button to create the Surge price.

Note: It won't apply immediately as the default Surge price will be inactive.

Step 9: To activate the Surge price, click on the inactive status. After confirming, the Surge price will be activated for normal users.

And that's it! The Surge pricing is now set up and ready to be applied to specific events or locations.
